ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION
AISSCMA an APEX body was founded by
some enterprising cosmetic manufacturers in the year 1977 and
registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860
and was subsequently made an ALL INDIA BODY in 1995 to
safeguard the interest of our esteemed members. Since then,
this apex body has been actively taking up the problems of the
Small Scale Manufacturers at Central and State Level with all
concerned Governmental bodies.
Briefly introducing our AISSCMA,
zonally with membership of around 200 to 250 members, we are
manufacturers and exporters of Cosmetics, having wide scope
today nationally and internationally. Around 22000 - 25000
small scale industries are situated in India, out of which 30%
units are only located in and around Mumbai. In short,
association was formed to not only safeguard the interests of
the members but also disseminate information and provide
knowledge, putting forth our views & grievances to the
Govt. and in consortium do something where our people and
nation both benefit together.
The Association also organizes
events to provide market development opportunities and product
development skills.
The sector besides being one of
the the largest employer in the country serves as a green
field for nurturing entrepreneurial talents. This sector
produces various cosmetic and toiletry products in the trade
encompassing various types of coloured, herbal, ayurvedic and
synthetic cosmetics, contributing 70 of the manufactured
output and accounting for 75 of total cosmetic exports.
Cosmetics sector is one of the
sectors showing a lot of promise. With globalization and the
world's interest in India, this sector is bound to show an
upswing in turnover. Increased demand of the domestic markets,
export markets and thrust on outsourcing spell great
opportunities for this sector.
This is our sincere effort to
showcase products manufactured by small scale cosmetic
manufacturers, packaging and raw material manufacturers and
suppliers, machine manufacturers and service providers to the
Cosmetics industry.
This occasion will give
boost to domestic and international business of Small Scale
Cosmetic industry and this will be one of the achievements
amongst many goals achieved by
AISSCMA.
